But most small UK service businesses have no idea this exists. And even if they've heard of it, they have no idea how to implement it. They're busy running their businesses — treating patients, grooming dogs, seeing clients. They don't have time to become automation experts.
That's the gap I saw. The technology is ready. The businesses that need it most don't have access to it.
So I built Desqit to bridge that gap. Specifically for owner-operated UK service businesses who are brilliant at what they do, but drowning in the operational side. The practitioners who've become accidental receptionists. The business owners who check their phones at dinner because they're terrified of missing an enquiry.
I built a fully working system before approaching a single client. Not a demo. Not a mockup. A real system that actually handles enquiries, actually books appointments, actually follows up with customers. Because I wasn't going to sell something that didn't work.
The business is deliberately kept small. I only onboard three new clients per month. Not because I couldn't handle more, but because every system needs to be built properly. Rushed implementations don't work. Corners get cut. Things break. That's not what Desqit is about.
Each system is configured specifically for each business. Properly trained on their services, their pricing, their policies, their voice. It takes time to do that right. And I'd rather do it right for fewer businesses than do it badly for more.
